Please read before registering for the SF Walking Marathon 2026.
Participation in the San Francisco Walking Marathon 2026 (the "Event") involves physical exertion and outdoor activity over a distance of approximately 26.2 miles. By registering and participating, you acknowledge that:
In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Event, you agree to release, waive, and discharge the organizer, volunteers, and any affiliated individuals (collectively, "Released Parties") from any and all claims, demands, losses, damages, costs, and liabilities arising out of or in connection with your participation in the Event, including claims arising from the negligence of the Released Parties.
This release includes, but is not limited to, claims for personal injury, death, property damage, or any other loss, whether or not foreseeable, that may occur before, during, or after the Event.
This release is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the State of California. If any portion is held invalid, the remainder shall continue in full legal force and effect.
By participating in the Event, you grant the organizer a perpetual, royalty-free license to photograph, video record, and otherwise capture your likeness and image during the Event. You agree that the organizer may use these images and recordings for any lawful purpose, including promotional materials, social media, the Event website, and future event marketing, without compensation or further notice to you.
If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, it is your responsibility to notify the organizer prior to the Event.
In the event of an emergency, you authorize the organizer and any emergency personnel to obtain medical treatment on your behalf. You acknowledge that the organizer is not responsible for any costs associated with emergency medical care.
By registering for the SF Walking Marathon 2026, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms of this waiver in their entirety. You acknowledge that this is a binding legal agreement and that you are signing it freely and voluntarily.
This waiver is accepted electronically at the time of registration. If you are registering on behalf of a minor, you represent that you have the legal authority to accept these terms on their behalf.
